Hi,

I am applying for AOS. Got married to USC couple months ago. And I know I have to send all my forms to the office in Chicago.

But on the form I-130, part 22, its asking my husband : " Your relative is in the United states and will apply for AOS to that of a lawful permanent resident at USCIS office in: ....

Should I put the office in Chicago/IL??

Just wanna make sure,

Thank you,

Mona.

My story:

09/23/2002 - Met Chris online, there was something very special about this guy =0)

07/16/2006 - We got married in Reno, Nevada.

USCIS:

08/13/2006 - Filed for AOS, AP, EAD - they were VERY carefully packaged with a detailed cover sheet on top of each of the forms, just as VJ's instructions recommend. It was A LOT of work, but it did pay off! (we firmly believe this is what sped up our process big time)

08/31/2006 - Biometrics appointment

09/09/2006 - Received my AOS appointment date!

10/26/2006 - EAD touched and AP APPROVED!

10/27/2006 - AOS appointment at 7:30 AM! APPROVED IN EXACTLY 70 DAYS!!!

11/01/2006 - EAD approved

11/02/2006 - Email notification - greencard will be mailed as soon as it is ready! YAY again!

11/02/2006 - Welcome to the United States of America letter in the mail! Almost there! =)

11/06/2006 - EAD card and White card (a.k.a. greencard) arrive in the mail!

Journey Total Duration: 80 days

Filed for removal of conditions on 07-28-2008 and had them removed on 09-10-2008

English would be nice.... so everyone can contribute to the topic......

Indeed. If you guys want to have a conversation in Portuguese, then PMs would be more appropriate I think.

You send forms to Chicago, but your AOS ( assuming it is not transferred to CSC) will be your local office. That's the office you put down on the form.

Liefde is een bloem zo teer dat hij knakt bij de minste aanraking en zo sterk dat niets zijn groei in de weg staat

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

.png

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

Or the South American/Caribbean forum. But even there it can get irritating for those who speak Spanish or only English. :)

Sorry, I didn't even notice I was typing in Portuguese. Did not mean to leave anyone out...

Mona, do as florida_guy said, otherwise you might miss your NOA1.
