Liberal Site That Facebook Uses To Sort 'Fake News' Just 'Fact-Checked' A Satirical Website

A liberal "fact-checking" site that has been deployed by Facebook to sort out "fake news" for consumers has just "fact-checked" a satirical website.

How comforting it is that this is one of the sites tasked with curating the news for us dumb Americans.

Right-leaning satirical website The Babylon Bee published a hilarious (and, again, obviously satirical) story mocking the controversy surrounding televangelist Joel Osteen, wherein Osteen sails a luxury yacht into the flood waters of Texas to pass out copies of his book.

"Although Joel Osteen took flak over the weekend for closing up his church to flood victims and all but disappearing during the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, the megachurch pastor reportedly returned to the city on his luxury yacht 'S.S. Blessed' to make amends Tuesday by tossing copies of Your Best Life Now to stranded flood survivors," mocks the site.

Snopes was on the case to fact-check the satire!

"Joel Osteen sailed through flooded Houston distributing copies of his book 'Your Best Life Now,'" was the claim up for evaluation, which was astutely rated as "FALSE."

But, it gets worse. Upon reviewing Snopes' "work," it appears the liberal site that pretends to be objective has fact-checked The Babylon Bee a stunning 11 times.
