What is the filing fees for AP? I have a pending I-485, do I still need to pay fees?

Thanks!

If you got a fee waiver for it, then fees are waived for AP too. If not, you can file a separate I-912 for it if you qualify. AP is currently taking 6 months, do depending on how much longer processing times are for your AOS, it might be that your GC arrives before.

USCIS reports VAWA case status at:

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/Resources/Reports and Studies/Immigration Forms Data/Citizenship/I360_VAWA_performancedata_fy2017_qtr3.pdf

Oct. 2016 - Dec. 2016: 2306 Petition received; 536 Approved; 530 Denied; 7915 Pending

Jan. 2017 - Mar. 2017: 2542 Petition received; 1085 Approved; 415 Denied; 9371 Pending

Apr. 2017 - Jun. 2017: 2672 Petition received; 1254 Approved; 435 Denied; 10645 Pending

So, it is about 2500 cases per quarter for self-petitioning of abusive USC or LPR!

How comes they have more cases pending than what was received? Am I missing something?

It's possible some cases are pending from previous years, not everyone gets the decision within the projected timeline. Some get more rfe's or just a slower case worker.

The number of pending cases are ALL pending cases (running total) that VSC has on hand at the end of each quarter, not just what they received on the same quarter.

Update on my I-360 timeline:

10.16.2016 - Filed I-360

10.25.2016 - receipt and prima facie

In the mean time I applied for AOS, EAD and extension for my Prima Facie.

12.20.2017 - Received notice that my I-360 case was approved.

I received no RFE's, had two Prima Facies and am very happy with this Christmas Present from USCIS. The past couple of weeks were excruciating to say the least... Will keep everyone posted regarding my AOS and it's time for me to apply for my EAD renewal.

I wish everyone (especially Sandra) warm and cozy Holidays.

So happy for you

Please I have a question to ask. If I get pregnant get  in my new relationship (not thinking of getting married any time soon because am just separated from my abuser not yet divorced), will this affect my pending vawa application? I filled April 2017? Does USCIS care about it? Please I need your advice so I know how to plan myself. Thank you

As far as I know, pregnancy has no influence on VAWA. Your VAWA petition becomes invalid if you get married before approval but since you don’t plan on doing that, you should be okay.

If you enter your case number into the My Case page at USCIS and choose “send email and text notifications”, then you get them. I have gotten a text and email for all updates
