If you are filing from within the US, photos are not required for your submission.  You can save and use them for when you apply for your passport though.

Not sure if you are submitting your application from the US or not, just don't want you to waste money on more photos later...

I miss read the passport pics. Thank you. Will you recommend filing online?

If you meet the eligibility requirements to file online, you can go that route. The eligibility requirements are basic, but of course that does not mean everyone is eligible to file.  Everyone's opinions of online filing are different, depending upon their own experiences.

For me, it works, and it worked for my situation and the type of history/case I have when I was doing my own research on the merits of online filing.

As of yet, personally, I have not experienced any downfalls to online filing that others may have themselves---you can view my timeline below in green if you wish.

you cannot file for naturalization online (only if you are paying immigrant free, I-131A and I-90)  - you have to mail the paperwork through a dropbox. just include a form that will notify you through text messages regarding status of your application. just follow the instructions on what to send. include a cover letter with a checklist on what is included.

This is simply untrue.  I filed the N400 online, as did many many others here.

The OP of this thread ended up filing online, according to her statements on a new thread yesterday.

I cannot find the site or link on USCIS.gov regarding filing N-400 online. I know you can fill the form but you still have to send the paperworks on a lockbox. Or maybe I am mistaken. Can you send me that link so that we dont need to send the attachments anymore. I believe it is just a fillable PDF version that you can fill and then print to sign. You still need to mail in your documentations/attachments - unless there is a link that will allow you to scan and upload the required documents. You can create an account online with USCIS to pay or check status but submitting the paperwork is still required.

Scroll down and look under the "how to apply section".

The instructions are in the right-hand side column.

Your documents can be uploaded as PDF attachments---no need to mail them in.

No worries---a lot of people still don't know about online applying---click on the green "ready to apply" button at the top to begin your online application.

You don't need to mail in any documents---they are attached and uploaded with your application.

I agree with you---USCIS should make the info more visible on their website.
