Change of address

Hello - Whilst I'm still a few months away from being able to file my ROC - I thought I would check in here, see what to expect.....yes I'm over anxious.

 

I have just realized that I completely forgot to change my address when we moved on Feb 1st of this year. I know thats not good, has anyone else done it? What came of it? Do I have to file for myself AND my US wife too? Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks

Do it now. 

 

You're meant to file a change of permanent address within 10 days of moving. You can file your AR-11 online. 

 

Anyone who has filed an affidavit of support for you is also required to file an I-865 within 30 days of them moving. This cannot be filed online.

Thanks - I found most of that info. Looking at the I-865 does my wife use her now married name, or her maiden name she used when she sponsored me? TIA

That's a good question. I'm not actually certain. 

 

If I had to guess I'd say it probably makes no difference.
