Hi everyone!

I am planning to apply for citizenship in the next few months, but I wanted to make sure I am eligible to apply before I start the process. I entered the USA in 2012 on K1 Visa. I got married in October 2012, and became permanent resident in July 2013. Unfortunately things didn't work out so we got separated and eventually divorced in Dec 2016. So am I eligible to apply for citizenship at this point?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Regards..

You can apply 90 days in advance of your 5-year LPR anniversary (July 2013), so no you're still looking at approximately April 2018.

It's now 5 years because you're no longer married to the spouse that sponsored you, otherwise you'd be eligible now under the 3-year rule.

03-19-2021: Officially an American Citizen 🇺🇸 Entire journey from initial K-1 Visa filing to Naturalization took 5 years, 8 days.

No not yet. Sometime in April 2018 you will be eligible to apply based on 5 year residency.

Start from Page 5 of this document https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/article/attachments.pdf to check if you satisfy the remaining requirements.
