Hey everyone,

I am at the NVC stage for my wife's petition, and I am concerned I don't have enough evidence to meet the Domicile requirement. I am a contractor working for the military overseas, and my wife lives with me there.

I am submitting a template I got from VJ that details what documents and steps I have taken, so this what I have:

A letter of authorization from the government that contains my DOD ID number, states I support the US Army, and has a end-of-contract date on it.

Valid TN Driver's License showing my permanent address

Absentee Ballot Request showing my permanent US address and stating I intend to return to the US

TN voting registration showing my permanent address

Two credit card statements (different cards) that both have a US Po box address

US checking account statement

US savings account statement

Is this enough evidence, or do you think they will still require more?

So you don't live in the USA?   Are you moving back after she gets her visa?  Do you have a place to live once you get here?  If so then provide proof of that reestablishment of domicile like you are doing, plus any bills etc,

No, I live in Kuwait and work on a government contract supporting the U.S. Army.

I plan to resign once she obtains her visa and travel with her to the US. I do not own any property in the US -- but I do have a valid US driver's license, credit cards, checking account and savings account that are tied to a US PO Box address. We will be staying with my parents while I look for a new job once we get there. My parents' address is on several of my documents (such as my voting registration and my driver's license) as my principle address in the US.

Okay i would get a letter from your parents saying they acknowledge that you will be living there.  Also you understand that your income will not count if it does not continue once you move to the USA so you need adequate savings or a joint sponsor?

I have over 100k in savings, so I should be fine on that front. With that in mind, does that mean I should put "0" as my current income on the 864EZ?

You can't use the I-864ez since your income won't be continuing and you have to use assets.

What should I have my parents say in their letter?

something about you and your wife moving in.  Maybe something about rent being charged or that you're going to live there for x amount of time.. I'm sure there are examples on VJ.
