We started my husbands case in Aug 2015 and our I-130 was approved Feb 2016 and they received his waiver Dec 2016 and still no answer on whether it was approved or not. We are stressing out this is taking longer than we expected :(

Waivers can take a long time, but a lot depends on the type of waiver and the beneficiary's country of origin.

So, a few questions to help you better:
- Is your husband currently in the USA or abroad?

- Which country is he a citizen of?

- What is the waiver for?

- Did you get any updates since sending the waiver, anything from acknowledgement that they received it over online status updates to getting your elected rep's involved?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

He was born in Veracruz, Mexico and he resides here in the USA. We submitted the I-601 Provisional Waiver. Our lawyer requested an update in July and we received on stating they are just behind. It's just taking longer than we expected and so stressful when he has had all these job opportunities and they want him but he needs legal status.

Yeah things have slowed down.  There is probably nothing you can do, but in another couple of months, it may be worth contacting your Congressman's immigration expert and see if they can get an update.
