lol, welcome to club sania. My brother's wife and kids are in same boat as your husband and daughter.

Lemme quickly explain you the situation. Applied asylum got approved. Applied i-730 got approved. Pushed uscis to send the case to nvc and it took almost a year for them just to sent it to nvc for processing and that was when i involved obdusman. Anyways, Nvc took another one month to send it  to islamabad embassy and finally last year they had interview.

Almost  a year and half now embassy kept their passport and sitting on'em like snake - telling them cases are in administrative processing. Really? what kinda scrutiny you need to do for a female and her under 5 years kids. Isnt it frustating....:/  i feel pitty for my brother who daily check their status before getting up from bed.

I involved senetor, congressman, lawyer, sent emails my self but all i get response is AP thing which cannot be expedite or waived.

I would suggest you  to stop emailing them... because they gonna take their time no matter how much you are suffering they just dont care!

you can always visit your family on emergency grounds on your green card even though you are an asylee. Shhhh

Any news from your brother's family? Do u know any other person who is in AP and a beneficiary of I-730

My wife applied for i730 for me ,my case is under AP from the last 2 years and 6 months. No one can expedite the case. We have to just wait and hope for good. The other way us just when you will get the citizenship and you can adjust your case status . No lawyer and congressman can do anything in i730.

Many people from.other visa categories are also in waiting but not this much long.. Did your wife get green card? And plz if u can tell me in inbox on what basis your wife applied asylum? Why is it taking so long? I have also been waiting for 10 months since interview. My mother is in UsA. Did embassy kept your passport at the interview time?

Okay have you withdrew your passport from embassy? Because its too long now.. People take out their passports back and embassy contacts them  when ADM processing is completed to send their passport again. Did you get questionnaire form ds5535 in email? Its about previous travel histories and social media handles? I got this questionnaire in email 1.5 month after my interview.
