"A review of our record indicates that you entered the US pursuant to a valid K1 nonimmigrant visa.

however, the Department of State did not forward the medical forms DS-2053, DS-3024, DS3025 and DS-3026 that were completed prior to visa issuance.

Therefore you are requested to submit the aforementioned I-693, etc, etc......"

So this translates as they lost my medical and have to get another one. (right?)

April 25 - NOA1

May, June, July lost to IMBRA and RFE's

Aug 22 - NOA2

Sept 25 - interview date OCTOBER 13th

Oct 26 - arrived at JFK - work authorized

Nov 21 - apply SSN, received Nov 29

Dec 16 - marriage license

Jan 05 - wedding

Jan 30 - AOS begins

Feb 07 - NOA1 ,check cashed

Feb 28 - notice I-485 sent to CSC

Apr 16 - surprise RFE arrives..they lost my medical. New medical returned, Apr 23

Jun 28 - CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED!!!

July 06- Green card arrives.

Looks like you will be paying a visit to the civil surgeon that did your immunization supplement.

Actually I submitted the DS-3025 , without I-693A. ( due to greedy civil surgeons...) But from the way this RFE is worded, Im not seeing that as the problem. Seems they have nothing.

How much does your local civil surgeons want from you?

Nothing less than $75 around here, when they understood what I was talking about. Full medical suggested by everyone else!

Anyway, I had a chat with a nice receptionist in Manhattan. She said if I bring all my bloodwork receipts, my xray and my medical receipts ( which I kept) and my vaccination record they can keep the cost of a new medical way down.

sigh.. oh well., thems the breaks.

sorry to hear about the RFE...they dont realise sometimes that this kind of incompetancy put a hold on your life and your damm pocket...

its a shame when this kinda thing happens they cant arrrange your medical and pay for it being it was their fault in the first place that it was lost..

good luck to you mate..where did you have your medical done ..i got a full copy of my medical when i got mine done in melbourne..

gday Kath, I just answered your PM

I had mine done in Adelaide. I did fax ( speedy HAMPSTER found the number for me, cheers mate) them and ask for my " all clear' TB note ( I still have x-ray) and a copy of negative HIV / syphillis results and copy of titre test showing " immune" to everything.. Thats enough for the doc here to write me up a new medical without redoing all those tests. I thought about asking for a full copy, but the RFE states very clearly to go to a US civil surgeon ( even though I realize its a standard response) so Ill just get it done...

I did give the USCIS number call , he apologized a lot and said yes that definitely sounds like a lost medical and the only he thing he could advise me to do was EXACTLY what was stated. The nice Doc I spoke to said they should manage it for about $140.. maybe even a bit less...( with all the other tests etc would have been over $300) so Im just gonna go. Im paying for a speedy resolution !
