I am no longer employed at the company I stated on my spouse's AOS. I am currently unemployed  (however the prospects of getting another job in the near future are high)

My spouse is concerned about what to tell the CO if asked about my occupation.

Our goal is not to volunteer  unnecessary details and of course not to answer  the question insufficiently.

I would like to know how best to answer the question of my occupation

Thanks

The only response to a question regarding a question of your employment status is to tell the truth.  When the interview time arrives, you may want to consider having a new I864 form ready with whatever the new employment status is at the time of the interview.

Hello there,

It goes without saying that the truth must ALWAYS be paramount and I have no intentions otherwise :)

As for having an updated I-864 available, I will definitely do that. This was something I never thought of. I truly appreciate your kind advice.
