Petition for step child approved....now what?

Yay! Filed first week of February with CSC and just got the I-797 yesterday (amazing considering that the USCIS is showing 6-7 months for the I-130 in CA).

If I understand correctly the following now occur: the CSC notifies the NVC which then forwards the petition to the foreign embassy which then contacts the beneficiary.

Question: if the beneficiary is a minor does the embassy still only send a packet to the child, or, will I receive anything further before the embassy interview?

TIA.

Congratulations! Now the case will get transferred to NVC. Your child being the beneficiary will be receiving documents, as well as sent to you. Now being the child as the minor, I am not sure if you are autmatically be the "agent" to receive all documents and respond to all the correspondence. Normally, once NVC sends the beneficiary sends the DS3032- Choice Of Agent and Address ,that you put yourself as the agent so that all correspondence will be sent to you instead.

Good luck on your journey!

You'll have to go thru a "normal" I-130 at NVC and submit documents and forms when asked for and pay for the visa application.

Won't be send to the embassy until that's accomplished.
