Hey all,

I got an email from NVC informing me that my parents are scheduled for an interview at USEM next month. The letter did not mention anything about medical exam appointment. I don't remember anymore the process as it's been 10 years since I got approved for my own visa and had my own interview.

Who sets the appointment for medical examination at SLEC? Do my parents need to call to make the appointment or should they wait for a notice from the embassy?

Thank you for any input. :)

We are waiting to hear back from NVC. At what point do we schedule medical? We got NOA2 about 2 weeks ago. What is next step in process?

What can we prepare for at this point? Can anyone help?

There is plenty you can be doing. Here is a good place to start then I include the Embassy Letter for a check list of all the documents and forms needed for your interview. Come back here with any questions.

my mom will have her interview next month too. Slec is a first come first serve basis no appt needed. My mom did her medical last july 4, i'm glad i told her to do it early as they seen a tiny bit blurred on her xray and now they wanted her to do the sputum on july 26,27 and 28. I would suggest for your parents to do the medical as early as possible as you'll never know what will be the result is .

Medical is first come first served at SLEC.  Your parents can pre-register online to save some time the first morning.

They will need copies of their interview appointment letter from NVC, plus on the 2nd day they will need copies of their DS-260

I will add a couple links here that may be helpful.

SPUTUM is 60 days.  The 26,27 and 28 is collection.  You will need to re-schedule the interview.

IR-5. What do their age have to do with the medical appointment?

Age has nothing to do with medical of course but age does factor in on CFO which was some additional info I was going to offer you much like Hank did.
