My wife will ne interviewing in Islamabad and I was just wondering the general trend is for Islamabad for Female K3 visa applicants, do they get it the same day or are they put on admin processing

Visas are no longer given out the same day now at this embassy/consulate. AP is more common now for ladies and their time is usually short. Ladies are given a token and their passports are returned by courrier to them shortly after approval. This change occured about one year ago.

NVC:

01/04/07 - Letetr from NVC about the case# and sending electronically to Islamabad

Islamabad Embassy:

01/11/07 - Embassy sends out Packet 3.5/4.0 with the interview scheduled on Feb 06, 2007

2/06/07- Interview

APPROVED BUT ON AR/AP

05/14/2007 Called DOS, they said security check has been completed and an electronic message has been sent to consulate.

05/21/07- My wife has been asked to come to Emabssy and submit I-134 and tax return that embassy can do the final processing.

05/24/07- VISA FINALLY IN HAND, GETTING READY FOR FLY

06-03-07 Arrived to USA, POE JFK

EAD

6/5/07 Application for EAD

6/14/07 NOA1

7/3/07 Biometrics

AOS

7/21/07 packet sent

7/23/07 Packet received

supposed all goes well at the embassy. this is what will happen.

1st. CO will give her a TOKEN. its more of a slip of paper.

2nd then after about 10 days wait she will get a call from Amex. requesting she come get her visa.

and thats all she wrote!

I recommend she answers the question they ask her. show the proofs. the burdon relies on her.

she can take her time and answer questions.

The way i see it, I am sending her all things I can find as well as she has a lot as well which kinda makes up a suitcase as we have know each other for the last 10 years.

I am probably gonna tell her to filter the cards and pics and take maybe 100 of each or something

On my interview day CO only ask for my wedding pictures. He did not ask for any other proof as i have other pictures as well.

17th January 06----I-130 Approved

NVC

6th March 06------- Receive DS3032 letter (in Pakistan)

10th March 06----- DS3032 sent back to NVC

20th July 06------- Receive duplicate DS230 packet

14th September 06-----Case completed and sent US embassy Islamabad

ISLAMABAD EMBASSY

7th November 06----- Embassy upgrade my petition from F2A to IR1.

8th November 06----- Receive packet 3.5 through TCS.

16th November 06---- Embassy receive packet 3.5 and pending for review.

18th January 07----------- Receive Packet 4.

26th March 07------------ Medical Done

29th March 07 ---- INTERVIEW AT 8:00 am

APPROVED ---------- AP Starts

13th July 07 --------- AP END RECEIVE VISA

They really didnt ask her alot. They asked for our wedding pic, my favorite dish, when the last time we were together. They also asked whter it is love or arrange marriage, in the end they ask her that she is also approved for K-1, which one we would persue, and I already told my wife that we will do K-3 so told same thing to them.

Sandip they usually send out the diplomatic pouches soon after approval and it goes to the embassy and then it must be matched to the electronic copy that was sent prior. You can go to the http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef DHL website and type in ref# I-730 and put in the date you think it might of been sent. It will show all pouches that are sent out and to what embassy/consulate as well as when it arrives and who signs for it. Good luck.
