Does anyone know what the outcome or results would be if while going through the K-1 visa process one or both of the individuals involved (fiancee non USA and petitioner USA) decided that they changed their mind and did not want to go through with completion? Does this mean the non USA fiancee can no longer file again in the futire with someone else and vice versa for USA petitioner? I am sure this situation occurs frequently given the length of time it takes to get from point A to point B. Thanks all.

Absolutely not, both the petitioner, and beneficiary are free to try again with other partner. No penalty is assessed.

The petition can be canceled by writing a letter requesting it be canceled and send it to the service center or embassy processing it.

Q. If I decide not to get married to my Fiancee can I cancel the petition?

A. You should make a written request to the Embassy asking to withdraw the petition. You may wish to notarize such a statement so we can be assured that you personally are asking the petition to be withdrawn.
