You need to send

1. photocopy of the original document which is in your native language( don't send original just a photocopy)

2. A translated copy of the said document  which is in your native language into English and it should be an exact translation, that is line by line translation into english( no summary)

3. The translator should be either a registered translator or add an affidavit that says that he is competent to translate from your native language into English and that all translations made are accurate. If he is registered he can add a copy of his license to it.

All the best

For example, if you are submitting a Ghanaian birth certificate along with your petition, you need to include the following...

1) Photocopy of the Ghanaian birth certificate

2) A full translation of the Ghanaian birth certificate on a separate piece of paper

3) If you translate the Ghanaian birth certificate yourself, you need to add the following statement, sign and date it:

CERTIFICATION BY TRANSLATOR

I, (your name), certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and (Ghanaian) languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document entitled Ghanaian Birth Certificate.

Signature:

Name: your name

Address: your address

Date: date

4) If someone else translates the Ghanaian birth certificate for you, they need to sign the "Certification by Translator" instead.

All in all, you will be submitting 2 pages for that one document i.e. 1 photocopy page of the original document PLUS 1 full translation page with the certification.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.
