My fiance just completed her interview in Moscow on Tuesday and was told that she should not have a problem receiving her visa. However, her daughter (who turns 21 on May 31st) was told that she will only receive a visa that is good until her birthday and then she must return to Russia. If this is true, my fiance and I will not be able to get married because she will not leave her only child behind. I have been given all kinds of advice from contacting my U.S. Senator (which I have already done) to meeting with a USCIS agent at the local office (which I am doing tomorrow). My fiance's daughter was listed on the visa petition which was approved by USCIS back in December. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience in this area?

Hello there,

I am going through the same process, my fiance is in Moscow and is waiting for her package to be sent.

From when the NVC sent the package out , to when you received an interview date, what was the time, and from that time, how long until the interview?

The wait is killing me, any indication you can provide ouwld be very kind.

thank you.

As for your question, I do not have any experience in that area. Sorry, I wish you luck with your case.

David

You might want to search for Girona (more on the AOS board) ... I know she has a daughter who aged out DURING the adjustment of status process and was denied due to this. While disgusting, there isn't much they can do at the moment, but they're trying to get people who it has happened to together and work on something, as far as I know.
