I've seen some of the things that my fiance needs to do once she gets her information packet before the interview. She is a chinese citizen who lives and works in South Korea. Next month she will go back to her hometown in China to get her divorce decree for the 129f. Is the packet she gets once I file, going to force her to take yet another flight to China just to get criminal background paperwork? Or will she be able to get something from the police department while she is already in China? I'd hate to see her have to take 2 trips when she could do it all in one. Does the info in the packet she recieves have official paperwork she has to take to the chinese police in her hometown?

She can obtain a police report now. Remember such reports are normally valid for 1 year according to USCIS regulations. The report needs to be translated and notarized(if you dont already know that). Good luck.

Thanks for finding the correct forum. Knew it had to be here somewhere.

Also thanks Jealob for the info. You wouldn't think the paperwork would be the hardest part of the process lol.
