I am confused about my affidavit. I864

I petitioned for my husband in Dominican republic in 2014 I had an issue and it delayed the process so I send in all the paper work that nvc asked for which it included my income for 2015, we have the interview in two weeks... the only thing I have to take to him besides all the original paperwork they ask for is my w2 from 2015 that's what the nvc letter is asking...  but for the part of the affidavit I didn't need an extra sponsor because I made 28,000 in 2015and I met the criteria for financial support .but for 2016 I made 25.300 which is less and I don't meet the criteria to sponsor him. my main concern is our interview is may 30th of this year so do I need to take my income from 2015 or do I fill out the affidavit with my 2016 income.. I hope you understand my question I am really nervous is just two weeks away.

you will need to take 2016 which is the most recent tax after tax season is over

on the i864 not only you have to put your tax information, but they ask you about an estimation of current year

 

that's what's most important? will you be making over the poverty guidelines for this year when you file next year?

Bring evidence supporting the fact that you will be making over the poverty line for the current year (e.g., employment letter with title, salary, status of ongoing employment with no expected termination, etc.).

 

They will most likely ask for your 2016 tax return (or proof that you have filed for an extension) since it is well beyond the deadline.
