ceac.state.gov timer restart

Hello,

 

I've been waiting six weeks since the NVC received my AOS and other required documentation but they haven't looked at it yet. This process makes me very nervous so I logged into the ceac site to make sure that my application shows complete as I had submitted the application in January. Now I'm worried thinking that I heard somewhere once that if you login to the ceac site it restarts the timer as if you had just submitted the application that day. Is this true? Does logging into the ceac site restart the timer of when you had submitted the documents and paid the fees?

Hello! 

Logging in does NOT restart the timer. You can log in as many times as you want. In fact, that's were we all have seen the "N/A" change when the case is complete.

how do you know that they have not yet started looking at your documents ? Also, official wait time is up  to 11 weeks.

Nope, it does not restart by viewing or loggin in at ceac, the timer restarts when you received and RFE (checklist) and send it, the day they received it will be the start of day 1

 

you may start calling when you reached 9th weeks twice a week goodluck
