hello. i had an infopass today in miami and the lady said everything that i knew. my case is pending by fbi background bla bla bla and i have nothing to do but wait. i asked about an AP and she told me not to do it, it's can cause problem in my case bla bla bla. 7 months waiting for F******BI.

you know, thats a really scary suggestion to NOT apply for AP while your case is pending. Isn't that exactly what its for?? :blink: We have used the AP three times, and soon my husband will use it again. I understand cognitively you are *parolled* in, but again, use while applicationis pending is what it's for!

We also went to an infopass appt and were basically kicked out for wasting their time.

What visa are you or your spouse adjusting from ? If there was a prior overstay, then AP is not advisable.... as a matter of fact, overstay"ers" MUST not leave the country until their green card is in their hand.

05/02/07 - Biometrics (Took us 8 minutes - no kidding) DAY 25

05/03/07 - I-485 Touched DAY 26

05/17/07 - Interview letter arrived (07-17-07) DAY 41

07/17/07 - Interview - Everything went well but received an RFE DAY 102

08/28/07 - RFE sent - Took a long time to get what they needed DAY 144

08/29/07 - RFE received - DAY 145

10/04/07 - Email: Notice welcoming new resident mailed - DAY 180

10/05/07 - Touched - DAY 181

10/09/07 - Welcome Notice received. - DAY 185

10/10/07 - Card production ordered. - DAY 186

10/17/07 - Green card received !!!!!!!! - Day 193

yes, i overstayed.

Then I cannot stress it enough that you must NOT leave the country until everything is approved and you have either a stamp on your passport or a green card.
