NVC RFE - Swedish criminal record

Hi,

 

I am starting this thread because I am lost with my case.. 

 

NVC just got back to me that everything is fine except one of my police reports - the Swedish one. They require 442.1 form which I have provided them but they say that it missing "Riskpolisstyrelsen" word on it but the problem is that Riskpolisstyrelsen doesn't exist any more since it was changed to Polisstyrelsen with the end of 2014. Everything besides that word is exactly the same!
 
We tried to explain it to them over phone. They said that they will forward that to a supervisor and get back to us. Apparently the supervisor decided that we still need to deliver another document.. I really don't know what to do and they do not accept our explanation of the situation. They first lost our documents which took previous supervisor 6 weeks to find and now this delay.. I would very much appreciate any advice!

It's "Rikspolisstyrelsen".. but that doesn't matter.. I don't know why they wouldn't accept it... It's the one in multiple languages right? Perhaps you can email polisen and get a signed statement from them about the name of the agency? utlandsutdrag@polisen.se

 

Really should not be necessary... smh

Like suss said, are you using the multi language police cert?

I checked mine I got last year and it doesn't say "Rikspolisstyrelsen" it just says Swedish Police Authority (Polisen). This is soooo typical NVC. They don't have a clue.

 

Maybe we had the same administrator at NVC because we had a bunch of issues too, including our packet being lost. We were stuck at NVC for seven or eight months and had to involve our Senator. Crazy NVC.... :( 

 

How about emailing the US embassy in Stockholm and ask them which police cert you need? Don't mention anything about your NVC issues because then they'll just refer you to NVC. Just say that you're putting together your papers and not sure what police cert you need.

Dec 21st 2015 - 221(g) issued at interview for updated forms


Jan 13th 2016 - Mailed our reply to the 221(g) to the US Embassy, received and CEAC updated the next morning


Jan 20th 2016 - Embassy require more in-depth info on asset for i-864


Feb 1st 2016 - Sent more in-depth info on assets as requested. Received the next morning
