Hello, 

        This is my first time here . I find this forum very resourceful. My case was also returned to the USCIS and I am currently waiting for either a NOIR / NOID . I have contacted my senator to make inquiries on my behalf about my case. The case has been with the USCIS for close to a year.Prior to that, it took 6 months on transit from the consulate to the NVC. Any info from members with similar experiences is very much appreciated.

It can take 12-18 months to get the NOIR/NOID from USCIS so you should receive it pretty soon.
After sending the response you have to wait a long time again. It can take 2 years from denial to a second interview,
the entire reaffirmation process is very slow.

Thanks @ Ebunoluwa.  I find the thread helpful. I guess I will hang in there and hope to hear from them pretty soon. Meanwhile I made a trip to my spouse last year and planning another one sometime this year

I was in your shoes exactly bro.   My wife got denied in June 2015 but the Embasy held on to it for 6months like you.   Uscis got the case and it took them exactly 11months to the date to send us noir.    I reply with a massive amount of evidence well organized and easy follow in chronological order from the day we started talking to the most current date .   It took uscis only 18 days to review and reaffirm our case.   Sent to nvc and was immediately forwarded to the embassy the next day literally.   It's been at the embassy for 23 days and we are just waiting for an appointment date.  It's rough but you are almost done.   If you want to know how I laid out my evidence I'll explain.

Thank @ Volta region . I realized you really did do your homework. I have all necessary documentary evidence needed for my case. I will really want to know your presentation though I am yet to hear from the USCIS. This will enable me be proactive and prepare before I hear from them anytime soon. Its been a tough wait. I don't mind you explaining to me at your free time how you laid out your evidence . You can PM me if you think its OK . I appreciate your assistance.
