I-134: Is letter from employer really required?

Is letter from employer for proof of employment is really required for i-134 even though I have document of pay stubs and W2 form? Will pay stubs and W2 form will be enough without letter? My company do not allow letter for proof of employment but they use verifyjob.com if employees need it for proof of employment. Have anyone done that before?

Strictly required? No. Only the I-134 itself is required. Everything else is supporting documentation to prove that the information on the I-134 is accurate. Without sufficient proof, the CO cannot make the determination that the form is true and accurate.

 

I've never used that service, but if they provide an official proof of employment with the required info, then I don't see an issue. I'm just surprised your employer doesn't permit a letter to be written.
