During Administrative Processing

I humbly greet you all here. Please can one apply for a non immigrant visa even though his immigrant visa case status reads: 'Administrative Processing'.

Also, has anyone in (AP) here applied and has been issued a visa. If yes, I will be grateful if you can share some experiences.

You can certainly apply, but it's unlikely you'd receive a nonimmigrant visa with an immigrant visa pending.

Hello my case was put under AP after my interview on 3 November 2016,  after that i kept tracking my case on the website and they updated it three times but it still read AP.  Finally on the 14 February 2017 they call and ask me to take my passport and other docs they ask for to the DHL office in Kanda.  2nd of march 2017 my status changed from AP to issued. Woooow! This is miraculous. So did you call for inquiries on your case or status update.

My interview was conducted in Dec. 2016 but until now it has been updated only twice. After my interview the consulate said; we won't be able to issue the visa now but will send the case back to the States. My wife came back this February for almost about 2weeks, 5days and left but on her going back she went to the embassy and was given a number to call for visa inquire. Then  She did and on the phone she had a long chat with a gentleman. Am saying all these to say that, at the AP there can be a miracle and mercy and a supernatural favor.

Well for me after my interview the consular said he was going to review the case again,  he didnt say they will issue or not issue the visa and also he didnt say they were going to send the case back to the states. My husband got in contact with his congresswoman and she got in contact with the embassy twice and they only told her that they are still reviewing the case. So yeah to be in AP and come out successfully is a miracle.

No, please wait for the outcome of the immigrant visa. Talking from personal experience
