The letter will state all documents you have to bring. The letter will state (by default) that you have to bring Selective Service letter, but if you were not required to register, then you don't have to bring that.

Just received my 'Your Oath a Ceremony Will Be Scheduled' USCIS.gov status update.

 

This is exactly 12 days from my recommendation for approval on Interview Day (2nd August) at Federal Plaza

 

Here's hoping they schedule me for later this month or early next!

 

So excited!

Hi Everyone, 

 

I wanted to give an update on my case. Last week I received an alert that notice for my Oath Ceremony was mailed but I haven't received it as yet. I figure I'd get it this week but I was on The February filers page lurking as I do ever so often, to get an idea on how long it would take to get to each step (So far it's been accurate). I saw a young lady from my city that interviewed around the same time I did post that she received an alert that her oath ceremony notice was mailed out last week and was able to not only call USCIS and get her interview date and location from a Tier 2 Rep but they also faxed her the letter. Of course  I decide to try my luck and was successful in getting the date and time of my Ceremony. My ceremony is scheduled for August 23rd at 8:30 AM. The officer told me that if i don't receive my letter by this Friday, I should call back with a fax number and they'll fax the letter to me. The ceremony was scheduled for 8 business days after it was mailed out, I'm almost done with this journey y'all.

Nearly there!   Good tip to get the letter faxed!  Thanks for that...

 

I just got the confirmation that I'm in line for Oath this morning, I hope to get a mailed noticed later this week with a ceremony date for early September.

congratulation , i received saturday  an update about my case I tought will be an oath ceremony when  i check i got a superised that my  CASE UNDER SUPERVISOR REVIEW after couple hours status change to CASE UNDER SUPERVISOR REVIEW COMPLETED   I dont know  what the meaning of that even the IO give the congratulation and recommended me for approval 

plz any once had such experience

I never had that status change but I assume it was just the IO supervisor doing a check on the work.  Since there was no change to RFE follow up, I think it will shortly be changed to "In Line for Oath".

Oh ok. I think for people from the burbs, it takes some more time because uscis tries to gather as many people as possible in one large ceremony. Anyone else thinks i am right ?

I thought so... not sure if anybody had a ceremony at Federal Plaza...

 

Also for people on this last leg of a very exhausting journey, does anybody know if we are breaking any laws pre-filling the Passport Forms at the Dept of State web site so we have a form all ready to submit right after the ceremony ?

 

My concern is that some government official may interpret that we are claiming to be a US Citizen when filling out the passport form where we have not yet gone through the ceremony.
