We have Comcast cable and get it.

Why have they chosen Hollyoaks over Corrie or Eastenders. I never liked Hollyoaks!

No more Benny Hill is a bonus though

I'd pretty much given up on BBC America ever showing anything I wanted to watch. Every time I'd check to see what's on, they're showing Cash in the Attic or Benny Hill. There's nothing wrong with either, but I don't need an entire network dedicated to them.

So many of the programs they were running were shows I'd seen on PBS countless times while I was growing up. It's about time they started airing series made after the seventies. I wasn't aware that they had aired Extras, though, as I thought HBO had the rights to that.

Cox also has BBC America, BTW.

I'm sad they're dropping Keeping Up Appearances and As Time Goes By - they are both really funny! Why can't they simply reduce the number of times they air Cash in the Attic and Who's Line is it Anyway?

Amanda - I'm not sure who the cable providers are in your area, but I get BBC America from Time Warner.

BBC America are usually on Digital Cable in my experience (Cox and Comcast). You can also get them on Satellite.

That said I basically boycott them after they stopped showing Eastenders, and most of the time I channel surf all I see on the channel is cash in the attic.

Still good to see that they're trying to become more drama orentated, and if you haven't seen it yet, Life on Mars is a brilliant program.

Ditto that. Not to mention Bargain Hunt. (zzzzzzzzz)

I get BBC America on Charter cable.

Thanks guys! Gonna do some researh myself.

As I've said haven't had cable or any tv at all in years.

But I just moved someone into my little rental house. They are going to get satalite there and I am going to mirror it to our house. Might have to see if they have any BBC on the line up!

BBC America is rrrrrrubbish! But we're going to have it anyway (C. keeps saying we need to get it so I won't be homesick for British TV - whereas I think the stuff they show might well be worse than no TV from home at all!! )... I know it's listed on our apartment building's website as one of the channels you can get on their 'extended' package. No idea what cable company that is, though.

Why can't you ever get BBC World anywhere?! (yeah, I know, because nobody wants to watch it, that's why!) I want BBC World, then I'd be able to watch the news without shouting at the TV every 10 seconds!

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

.... just checked, and it's not cable at all, it's digital satellite, apparently. Tons of channels, and I've no idea what 99% of them are.

Seriously! I'd rather watch PBS or Canadian tv. I live close to the border, so we get CBET on basic cable and they occasionally have some UK shows on.
