Got my K1 attached on my expired passport, will be moving to the states on March 3. Wonder if I can drive across the border for a day or two before that.  I am on west coast Canada and moving to east coast.  Thanks in advance for your help.

The only success I've seen with visiting before 'activating' your K1 visa is with Canadians.  You are going to get lots of people saying NO, you cannot do this.

 

Post this in the Canada forum as this is a regional question but in the end, it is up to the border agent whether or not he allows you to cross without using your K1

I think those that have had the good luck doing this are those that have driven in and not flown in. But yes, Canadians HAVE done it before, but it does depend on the CBP officer.
