Job change concerned about location.

So, I currently live in Montana. Not exactly diverse, but my city is a college town, so it's not too bad. I recently received a job offer in a very small city of about 8,000 people and its around 5 hours from my current town.

So, away from all my friends and family. My concern is that my Filipina fiance won't have a big enough support system when she's here. Like my parents, friend's wives, things of that nature. Also, this other city is definitely not diverse and I don't want her having a harder time adjusting then is necessary. Has anyone been in a similar situation what do you guys think?

 I could stay at my current job, it's just the new one is better money and not to mention benefits.

I think this topic belongs in the "Moving to the US and Your New Life In America" forum.  There are many people who've answered this question.

My opinion, ultimately that decision is yours.  Will the tougher adjustment be worth the new job?  Things you can do is to research the location.  Being Filipino/American myself, it surprises me just how many Filipinos are in the US and how scattered we are across the US.  

I'd research possible Filipino Community Centers in your new area, contact the local University if they have a Filipino/Asian Pacific Islanders club, call the local church - And if these resources do not exist, maybe you and her can make it a project to start them in your new area.  

Adjustment to a brand new culture isn't easy, and I commend you thinking about your fiance's well being.

And of course those places aren't where I'll be or even where I am currently. About 2 hours away from the new place I'd move. Thanks for the info it'll definitely help.
