February 2016 AOS Filers - part 2

Anybody from february 2016 still waiting for the GC?

I had my interview on January 13 and we are waiting for the decision since then. Case status still shows "Interview scheduled".

The interview was good and in the end the IO gave us a paper saying my case was held for review (I guess because of some updates on my personal information, like employment status). The paper says "allow for no less than 120 days before making a status inquiry".

I also already filed for an EAD/AP renew.

I would love to hear some input form other applicants, specially if anyone had similar experience.

We had our interview  this morning and was approved on the spot. The case status was changed to 'card being produced' soon after the interview. Was you medical exam up-to-date? Hope the good news will come to you soon.

Good news for you! Congratulations!

Thanks for replying! I think my medical exam was up to date, otherwise they would mention something, right? I had my medical just some days before I sent my package.

  • 3 weeks later...

Congratulations to all new GC holders!

I went for my infopass appointment today, 7 weeks after the interview, and turns out they told me my I-485 was approved on the day of the interview. The Infopass Officer didn't explain why, but she did say that she talked to her supervisor and they made a phone call to order my GC, plus she stamped my passport. Apparently my case was in the "forgotten world"... As soon as I left the Service Center my status changed from "Interview Scheduled" to "Card production".

I tottaly advice anybody who thinks their case is taking too long to go to an infopass. Specially if it is more than a month after the interview.
