AOS pending / I-864

I need some clarification on which I-864 form you're "required" to file. Nowhere on the USCIS website or instructions for i-864 forms does it specify if you MUST fill out form i-864EZ if you meet all the requirements. It simply states you "may" use form i-864EZ if you meet requirements. I received an RFE letter requesting a correction on an area I left blank on the standard i-864 form and forgot to fill in "Sponsor/Petitioner Name". I corrected the mistake and re-sent all the financial documents they requested per the RFE letter. Now the packet has been mailed out and I made the discovery that there is an "easier" shorter version of form i-864 which is the i-864EZ. I sent out a revised i-864 form as instructed per the RFE letter. Nowhere in the letter did they mention I was required to fill out an i-864EZ but then again I'm not counting on USCIS to fill me in on the smallest of details or tell me if I sent in the wrong version of form i-864. Now I'm worried I will get a 2nd RFE stating I sent in wrong i-864 form. I am the sole petitioner/sponsor. The beneficiary is my spouse. I meet all income requirements.

 

Can someone with experience in filling out these forms please tell me if I AM REQUIRED to use form i-864EZ if I meet all requirements per the instructions? Or will the standard i-864 be accepted? and If I did send in wrong version of i-864, what happens now?
