If I was to take out a home loan and have a mortgage would it affect bringing my fiancee from the Philippines here to Texas?

Will they weigh how much I make and compare it to my house note?

My name would be on the paperwork. (I read for the Philippines sponsors are not allowed.)

I make over the poverty guidelines.

Do I need to show that I have a home first before even starting the visa paperwork?

How would I report my mortgage when I file my visa paperwork? How would I write it on the form?

Will they look at that? Or is that information not needed?

I read someone saying that if you make over the poverty guidelines, that you can leave that part of the forms blank.

Please help if you can and answer all questions.

Thank you.

You technically can leave them blank if you make over the poverty guideline, or can fill it in as an expense.

Philippines half the time does not even ask for the I-134 though; but always be honest on the paperwork.

And generally the Philippines does not accept co-sponsors for K-1's unless the petitioner is say a recent college grad perhaps where they have yet to establish themselves but have good potential for earning income. It's case by case decision usually.
