Want to upgrade from LPR to USC (Wife case)

Fellow Vjers,

 

I popped up again with a small query. I am in a big Dilemma that Should i upgrade my wife case to IR-1 as when i filled her case i was a LPR and now i became US citizen (January). Anyone has any idea, how long it might takes to process the case if i upgrade the case into IR-1.

 

FYI, I have already submitted those AOS & IV's fees in August 2016 (Green Card). I got an priority date of Sept 2015 (Nepal). In such case, Do i have to pay those fees again, when i do upgrade. I searched here many times but its my No luck that no body has gone like mine phase.

 

I do appreciate your response regarding this

I'm not very familiar with this but I ran across this post and was googling the differences between IR-1 and CR-1. (you can tell how little I know) but I did run across this:

 

"If You Were an LPR and Are Now a U.S. Citizen: Upgrading a Petition

If you filed a petition for your spouse when you were a lawful permanent resident (LPR), and you are now a U.S. citizen, you must upgrade the petition from family second preference (F2) to immediate relative (IR). You can do this by sending proof of your U.S. citizenship to the National Visa Center (NVC). You should send:

A copy of the biodata page of your U.S. passport; or

A copy of your certificate of naturalization"
