Vermont timeline

Hi all, new to the form , I submitted my I-751 form back in June 2016, it was received in Vermont on June 13, 2016 (I got my extension for a year. When I went to get my bio-metrics here in Portland (I'm lucky the office is minutes from my home here in Maine), the lady told me it would take year. However judging by the backlog in Vermont, I don't see mine being processed before the end of August 2017. Anyone have any idea on the timeline with Vermont, the website says they are still working on 2015?! Should I expect to get another extension in August?

There is still a long time to next summer. Things could significantly change but if VSC continues as is, it is highly likely you won't hear anything back before next summer. Your GC is still valid until it's expiration date plus 1 year. If your case is still pending getting close to that date or you need to travel internationally maybe within 1-2 months to that date, you should make an infopass to get a I551 stamp. Don't worry too much about it now, long time ahead of you.
