Timeline

What is your scan date (date that NVC received your documents)?  Currently it's looking like 8-12 weeks from that date before you hear from NVC.  Once your case is approved, the average time for an interview is 1-2 months from NVC case approval.  You should join the *NVC filers - January 2017* thread

I-130 (for parents of US Citizens):

8/19/2022: NOA (IOE0917XXXXXX); Texas Service Center

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

7/27/2023: Both cases sent to NVC

8/8/2023: Received NVC welcome email for both parents

Hi Camdon,

Welcome to the VJ family! Take a look at my Timeline in my signature....it should give you a pretty good idea of the length of time stuff takes. The interview itself took roughly 1hr 30mins but the officers there are very nice.

Best of luck to you! :)

I it true that we schedule our own interview date at the Embassy in Trinidad?  Or do I have to still wait on an actual appointment from NVC?

Hi,

The NVC gives you your appointment date for the Trinidad embassy. Only tourist visas allow you to choose an available date.
