Hi. My wife and I are preparing the paperwork to adjust my status from b2. I understand that I (beneficiary) will need a police certificate from the uk and I will need to send it with the I-485 forms? Do I require this certificate even though the embassy has it from when I got my b2 visa? Also how can I get it when I can't leave the US?

thank you for your answer. I read from various websites that said I didn't need it but the instructions for the I-845 says it is needed. They should already have my police certificate as they kept it when I got my b2 visa.

You only need one for AOS if you've been arrested...and it's not the police certificate you will need, it's all the related court documents.
