passport expiration

my passport will expire in setp 2017, i've got the k1 visa which expire in april 2017.. i plan to move at the end of feb and get married in the beginnig of march.. question is... shall i renew passport now or later after i got married??

Up to you. Its cheaper in Canada and with the same name. IF you change your name you apply for a new passport vs simple renew so that costs more. If you plan on travelling a lot you may want to wait so your names will match (unless you arent changing a name.)

would it cause a problem with the new passport when i enter the states with the k1 visa? cos the passport numbers will be different and the visa will be in the old passport

No it's not an issue. The visa is valid regardless.
