Can a small bump into another car while driving hurt my AOS?

Hello people...

I came to the country with a K-1 Visa and earlier today I bumped into a car in our apartment complex yard. It was almost undamaged, but there was a scratch on the painting and the owner of the car asked for the insurance info. My biggest concern is that her car was already damaged from apparently previous crashes, so I wonder if she will try to pin that all on me. Can it somehow hurt my AOS?

I had all the documents right. I'm driving with a learner's Permit and my wife was with me in the car. Still I messed up driving and I'm worried that this will hurt my process. Can anyone help me with this?

Not going to hurt your AOS at all.

But could possibly increase your car insurance cost if you are at fault for causing the accident and responsible for the damage repair.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

if you had hit the car and left it would be hit and run which can/will hurt you immigration wise. since you stopped and exchanged info it should be fine. assuming you have a valid license or learners permit and insurance.

good luck

Yes, Learner's Permit is valid, insurance is in place (the car belongs to my wife). As soon as it happened, my wife went to the lady's apartment (she's a neighbor) and talked to her. It was inside the apartment complex yard/parking lot, not even in the traffic.

Anyway, thank you for your help.

Yes, it was my fault and I'll deal with all the expenses. I'm just worried about the AOS. I'm doing everything by the book, just made a mistake driving, don't want this to ruin everything.
