My husband and I have been going though this visa process since April of 2015. He is Dominican and lives there and I am a natural born citizen who lives in Chicago.

We had an Interview in Oct of 2015. Everything went well BUT we were placed on Administrative Processing due to missing documents.

Its been over a year and we've been stuck on AP!!!!! We turned everything in and more.

Ive tried it all, sending multiple documents needed, hiring a lawyer (in the dominican), contacted my local congressman. EVERYTHING. (at least thats what it feels like)

My Question is Has anyone been placed on AP and for how long. It seriously feels like we're in a black hole. Every time I ask for updates, I always get told the same thing. I get told there is no time for a AP to be over with. HELP.

My husband had his interview oct 2016 we never went through ap for that long and also had missing documents It took us 2 weeks I believe from when we summit the documents to getting visa in hand. Are there any red flags ?? They say Dr is a tough embassy but I never had any problems dealing with them

I love my husband ?‍?‍?
