Hyderabad resident taking K1 visa interview in Mumbai

My fiance will likely be doing her K1 visa interview in Mumbai as the Hyderabad consulate does not handle immigrant visas. I chose Mumbai in the application.

Would anyone know if she would also have to get the biometric and medical done in Mumbai or can it be done in Hyderabad?

The best way would be to call the embassy in Mumbai. They have a number that you can call from the US

for my spouse who is in same situation as your fiance, the medical was done in Hyderabad.  THere is only one office in Hyd for this that is approved by US consulate, you can do it there.

Our consulate appointment is on next Friday Jan 13th. So far, CMM (medical) has not emailed our appointment. We called up twice and they said the doctor will decide the date. What was your experience there? How much before the interview was your medical appt. My fiance is very stressed

you can do medical anywhere that there is an approved clinic - check the sheet that they have. We were living in Bangalore and did our medical and biometrics in Mumbai the week before our interview. We stayed in Mumbai for 8 days to do the entire interview process.

 Did you call the Dr's office to try to schedule?

I believe that's what we did.

hi guys, have a quick question. Based on your experience - How long it takes to get K-1 visa?

I am USA citizen. Considering to marry Indian citizen. If I get engaged on March 10th. 

And apply to K-1 visa after coming to the USA. How long it takes to get K-1 visa? so that my future wife can travel to the USA?

from above thread, it seems like 80 days? is that right? approval to travel to the USA?

that seem rather quick - some of the threads say 6months and all? is that right? 

mine is a straight forward case - with no complications and genuine.

Assume 6 - 7 months from start to finish for the visa

My fiance is in Hyderabad as well. We just got the NOA2 and are just getting the last details together, but were wondering approximately how many days he should be prepared to take off of work when going to Mumbai. We are hoping that he can also get the medical done in Hyderabad.

In your original petition, did you choose Mumbai or Delhi? based on that your papers will be mailed to that particular embassy. If you selected Mumbai and want to go to Delhi, I would not recommend it for the risk of delaying the process.

I actually choose Hyderabad, I only recently found out that Hyderabad doesn't have immigration visas. Please suggest.
