Lagos, Nigeria, How long does it take to get visa passport back after additional info provided?

My fiance got the interview yesterday, Nov. 29. Apparently all well, all documents accepted and at the end he was asked about my small web design business, he mentioned we met in Facebook talking about web design and I helped him building his real estate job website. All well but he got the letter asking to provide my craigslist ads and information about my web design, which he immediately after the interview asked me, printed and sent it to the embassy together with his and his baby passports as the letter says. Also the letter asks only this additional information saying after the information is provided in 10 days they will issue the visa.

Does somebody have a similar experience? How long did it take? My fiance is waiting in Lagos at the hotel together with his baby, I hope it doesn't take long, the hotel and all staying in Lagos is not cheap, he can't work now there and we are still waiting for visa.

Any advice or comment will be very appreciated

Not sure how Lagos is but ill tell you this much...

I it can take days to weeks. Since what was asked for needs to be investigated. It might be a wait.

If no issues yes it would be ready in 10 business days. 2 weeks.

Thank you for wishing me the Good Luck, we need it. My fiance is working in Ghana and now medical and interview back in his home country, doesn't have how to work there, just waiting, I hope not for long and coming Home to the states very soon. Sorry about your AP, it's usually long, and not easy to wait not working, I am glad is over

It doesn't need to be investigated at all, they got the official craigslist printing and they know as USC I don't lie, it's just to take a look my job in web design is real and it's me and archive it in our file, that's why it says in the frame of 10 days we should received the visa, if not, please, call and ask. The letter is not about Administrative Processing which takes longer. But thank you for sharing your thoughts, AP could take days and months, additional information is once provided, it should be processed in no more than 10 days, I hope it will take a couple of days yet you never know until the visa in hand. Similar experience is always good for all of us to see how it works and to be well prepared

In my case, I have some experience applying for my adult children visa and all the documents for my fiance visa are well, many visits too. But who would know the embassy will ask about my small web design business advertising and precisely in craigslist? Fortunately I am subscribed to craigslist and have the list of all my ads for several years, so I was able to get the screenshots right away, the same moment my fiance was getting out of the embassy and calling me, he printed everything and sent it immediately.

But who could even think the embassy would ask about it? My affidavit has my permanent good enough income not related at all to my small business mostly as a hobby web design.

Who could know the visa would be subject of craigslist ads printing?

Just sharing, maybe it will be helpful for somebody

Thank you for all your good wishes, we need them so much! My fiance not working now, in the hotel with a 18 months baby girl and so depressed, he still can't believe we can get visa, Nigeria is not easy and even having all good evidence, I visited him 4 times, it's not easy at all. I understand the embassy is doing their job, they try to prevent fraud and lies yet here him coming with a little baby, no way he needs to run away in the states with the little baby in arms and also we are so much in love which we believe it will make a good solid marriage.

Not easy waiting and waiting and feeling it doesn't depend of us

I didn't, I just described saying we met talking about web design in Facebook. Maybe my fiance mentioned the craigslist, he knows I try sometimes to make money but it doesn't go well lately and I am even do website for free for my association and friends. Probably he mentioned the craigslist and if he did, this is a classic exemple, talk less during the interview and just answer the questions they ask you

Yes, I love kids too and girls are such dolls! I am very happy about my fiance bringing his baby girl with him and now worrying about both of them in a not very good hotel, the daddy and the baby girl, he needs to make her food and everything, not easy and the stress about visa

yet coming here it will be all happiness about the baby with us

Did you not talk about what was said in the interview about Craigslist ? You said maybe he mentioned it ? Did he or did he not ?
They want to verify what he said so you should have a discussion on exactly what they asked and what he said.
They also may want to see if he saw your ads first on Craigslist before you added each other on FB, they are looking into on how

you first met online. If after 10 - 12 days he has not heard from them I would email the embassy and inquire how long it may

take because of having a small child with him. Watch the ceac site notification, what does it say now ?
