Yes, ours was approved in September. I tried having my fiance go with the CEAC status yesterday. They told my fiance they would call or email when it is ready, which is interesting because they have never called or emailed us before. I've been emailing them constantly the past month and I haven't received anything useful.

I've emailed them a few times. It's been taking them about 3 weeks to respond. Each time they tell me we will be contacted when it's time to schedule the interview. The most recent email (sent Nov 22) I requested them to send the call in letter via email but I haven't heard back.

So I just spoke to the Chief Consular Officer and he assured me that everything is fine but they're just having a backlog so an interview will probably be around February. He said even though they receive the case electronically, they have to enter it manually and that is what is causing the delays. Since our petition expires in January, he told me that the consular officers will be able to extend the petition and that it will not be an issue. I wanted to share this with you and the rest of us so we at least have some information on what's going on.

Trust me I know your frustrations on not being able to simply speak to a human regarding your case. I've been trying for a while. 2 things happened: 1) I used to work for the US government so I leveraged that as much as I could 2) I got lucky because I've been trying for a while to speak with anyone and I just happened to place the call at the right time to a fellow federal employee who was able to connect me

Did he say how far back the backlog is?. For instance, is the process taking 3 weeks or a month longer than usual? Hope this makes since. I recently saw a timeline with an interview date of March 2017.

I didn't get a specific timeline but he told me to expect an interview somewhere in February. My case arrived there Oct 6 so that's about 4-5 months in between. Hope this helps.

I thought the petitioner received it but there has been a few cases where the fiance in Ghana has received the call in letter. So I check my mailbox everyday and my fiance checks his po box whenever he can, usually every few days.

Is there any update here?

There was another thread recently started but instead of the applicants receiving call in letters they received an "instruction packet" listing out what is needed for the interview and how to schedule it online.

Has anyone here received a call in letter and/or this instruction packet?

I haven't received any updates or communications. I saw my case status was updated so I sent them an email last week asking what's going on. The new thread is very helpful, however, I am wondering why others whose packets arrived at the embassy later than ours have received their instructions already but we haven't.
