Hello I just got off the phone with the NVC,only to receive the worse news. The documents that I sent in wasn't correct by their standards. The checklist they are asking copies of my husband's passport (which I sent to them), 2015 W-2,another copy of 1-864.

Should I resend the same documents I sent in before or have my husband resend me another copy of his passport? Also does it take another 6 weeks to wait for documents to be reviewed again?

It could take another 6 weeks. Thats the time frame NVC will give you but it could also be much quicker. You will need to def send the W2 and redo the I-864 since that has to be done accurately. It's hard to say with the passport because we don't know what was wrong. Best to do another scan of it. Make sure it's clear and the passport is unexpired.

I received the check list email, It stated that I didn't included all of the pages in the I-864. I corrected that mistake. The passport issue I'm thinking they don't know how to read an Jamaican passport also I sent in a colored copy of my husband's passport. I placed a sticky note on the copy of the passport to show them the date of issue and the date of expiration.

I spoke to a rep with the NVC he told me to make I write my case number on every piece of paper I send to them. He also stated that it could take 3 days or 6 weeks.

I'm just a little frustrated with all of this waiting once you correct your mistakes.

this whole process is about waiting. It can get very frustrating. Have to make sure everything is perfect to avoid delays. Let's hope it doesn't take 6 weeks!
