Hello .. today i received e-mail from CRIS that my case was transfered to california service center i live in new york city. Question is shouldn't that be transfered to Vermont Service center????? since i live in new york? Is this good sign???

In all liklehood, this is a good thing. People have been transferred to CSC (and TSC in one case) when their local offices are backed up. Most (but not all) of the time, cases transferred to CSC get approved faster and without an interview. You can still get caught in name check hell at CSC and sometimes you get transferred back (not sure all the details why, but I'm guessing it's because someone wants you to interview).

2014

Feb 25 - got emails saying that the cases had been transferred to another office for processing

Feb 26 - got emails saying that the cases have been transferred to my local office for processing

Feb 28 - got emails saying that the cases have been transferred and are being processed

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

Mar 18 - got emails saying that the petitions are approved smile.png

The same thing happened to us. My fiancee lives in Dallas Texas about 40 mins down the road from the Texas service Centre however our case was refered to CSC.

7/31 - K1 - APPROVED

8/5 - POE @ Dallas/Ft. Worth

8/11 - Wedding!!

10/15 - received Greencard

2009

Got 10-year Greencard
