Hi VisaJourney,

I have some basic questions about the N-400 form that I'd love to hear your input and how you answered them:

Part 5 question 1, which reads:
Current physical address dates section- is "Present" an acceptable answer in the "To" field for my current address?
Part 10, question 2: - information about your marital history which reads:
If you are married, is your spouse a current member of the US armed forces?
I'm divorced, so should I leave this blank?
Part 10, question 4-9 regarding being currently married - skip it entirely or write in N/A?
Part 11 - children information - I have no children.
Question 2 - leave blank or write in N/A?
Part 12 - questions -
Question 7B - if you answered "yes" (to 7A, to which I didn't) did you ever consider yourself to be a non-US resident?
I'm not sure what this question pertains to but I didn't answer yes to the previous one, which is about me skipping paying taxes. Skip it?
Question 9a - have you ever been a member of, involved in, or in any way associated with, any organization, association fund, foundation, party, society, or similar group in the United States or in any of its other locations in the world?
- I haven't been associated with anything major or bad, but this is one weird question. The information I found is contradictory, some say skip it, others say to put in your AAA, Costco memberships, etc.
I have had AAA memberships, Costco, BJs, church, frequent flier memberships for major airlines and college memberships for honor societies. I have also donated to the GOP. Would you list them?
Thanks for any feedback you may give me.

5.1. I put "present" (had to write by hand, because the form didn't like it). Don't anticipate any issues there.

10.2. Blank

10 4-9. You're not married. Put "N/A" if you want.

11. N/A

12. Skip (you already said you didn't indicate "Yes")

12.9.a. I would not put AAA, CostCo, etc. They're asking about political affiliations, basically. If you are/were a signed-up, paying member of an American political party, for example, list that. But, really, put whatever makes you feel comfortable. You can't tell them too much, after all. If you believe telling them about your frequent flyer membership is going to make a difference, go for it (I do not).

The instructions list "N/A" rather than blank for text fields. https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/n-400instr.pdf?download=1
