I've gotten my nvc case number on 11/10 and my ceac status still shows AT NVC. Is that normal cos people that has the same date as me says their status changed to Transit?

Secondly i can't get the information i needed from my country portal regarding the next step i should take while waiting for US consulate in Qatar to contact me. Can anyone please give me idea on what to do next? I have both police reports from my country and Qatar in hand.
