Hello all,

I wanted to know if the birth certificate of both the beneficiary and the petitioner are required at the Embassy interview for a K1 visa. The embassy interview will be in the dominican republic.

Please help me, I am freaking out  , as I am the petitioner and do not have a copy of my birth certificate. Also, can my fiancé pick it up for me somewhere in Dom. Rep.? :goofy:

Here is a link to the instruction for a K-1 visa application in the Dominican Republic. As noted, an original birth certificate is required for each visa applicant. There is no requirement for a birth certificate from the petitioner.

Good luck on your journey!!
