Please HELP! Rescheduling request.

Hi! I came here as a J1 status and got married with a US citizen. We filed our application last April.. since then everything was smooth until We got the Initial Interview Schedule for September. My husband was not available on the said schedule due to his on-site visit with their clients. Which all the agreements and schedule was made after we received Interview notice, so we decided to reschedule the interview because it's beyond my husband control he was assigned to his new assignment. We called the NCS of USCIS for the situation.she even mention that we may not be able to request because IT IS NOT A MEDICAL EMERGENCY OR SOMEONE IN MU FAMILY IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION. And I had to explain to her over again that it's beyond our control. It's an important work-travel or in-site visit. Then Made the request over the phone at the same time through mail. We send all the supporting documents with it. After 15 days on the said instructions.. I called them back to check if they received our mail. unfortunately they agent can not verify if my local office received it or not I asked for the office number she said she don't have the information. And advice me to wait within 30 days.. I asked if they will send a notice if they received our mail or not regarding with the request. The agent said that they're NOT going to notify us if they received our reuqest mail or not because they're going to response with the new schedule.

But it's been almost 3 months now and I'm freaking out that what if they didn't received my mail or lost it? Then they will think that we've abandon our application and deny it?

Then yesterday (11/3/16) we called NCS again regarding our application. The same answers, they don't know what's going on. And we request for response our request. It is so frustrating and it's affecting my job.

Please help us. We really don't know what to do anymore. We don't want to reapply again and pay again the fees and the medical exam. We are located in Alabama. What should we do? Can anyone help us?

Make an infopass with the local USCIS to speak to real person there.

Merrytooth, if i will make an info pass with them do i need to visit the local office personally? I am from alabama and the nearest local office is Atlanta.

Unfortunately, You need to visit local USCIS office personally.

Otherwise, have your spouse contact the congressman, senator to inquire about case on your behalf.
