As far as I know, from what my partner did just recently. He did the DS-160, set the interview date, and he then went and paid at BPI which gave him the receipt to just show at the interview showing he paid.

I have left it in his hands as clearly he is there and has a better understanding how it all works(not his first visa so he has good idea how the process works).

Have our nvc number and invoice number already.Registered online for medical but can't go for medical exam yet because we didn't receive the hard copy of the NVC number yet. We are reluctant to file the DS 160 for now because we don't exactly know average time to wait for the NVC mail. Anyways, just would like some opinion if it is ok to just do online ds 160 and not set for appointment for interview yet until we receive our NVC number by mail? That way we can adjust medical and interview interval dates.

We tried to do the ds 160 and pay so we can have a confirmed date of interview since it can be used to go for medical exam but luckily the received the mailed NVC number so we used that one. DS 160 was submitted though but not pain and no interview date. I do have a question, can we set the interview date taking into the conaideration of 8 weeka waiting period of sputum culture result so we don't have to redo ds 160?Any opinion will be very much appreciated. Good luck to everyone
