Us citizen married to f-1 student but income is not enough to sponsor her for this year

I need help . Im filling out i-864 for my uncle and his wife . My uncle received W-2 and his wife received 1099. On form I-864 line I-d should I pick im the only only joint sponsor for him or Iam the first joint sponsor check mark that box?also, his wife will fill out the I-864 A correct?

Do i just listed his income from w-2 or his income from w-2 /his wife 1099 combine all together ?

Do i listed line 38 adjusted gross income from his 1040 form?

I need help . i need to file my  tax return for 2016 so I can sponsor my wife .On 1040 form I selected married filed jointly since she was F-1 student dosent have social yet . They keep ask for social or ITIN number but She dosent has it yet.  Do I need to apply her ITIN number before I filed tax return or can I just include ITIN application with my tax return? Thanks

Easiest is to file Married Filing Separately. Put NRA for non-resident alien where it asks for her SSN. Once she immigrates and gets an SSN, you can amend your tax return to Married Filing Jointly and get the difference in tax refund from the IRS.
